나름 번역을 올립니다.

 

번역이라는 것이 외국어 어후실력으로 되는 것이 아닙니다.

 

앎이 필요합니다. 예수의 말씀의 뜻을 비교적 정확히 알려면 예수의 마음을 알아야 합니다.

 

그냥 지식으로 알 수가 없습니다. 똑똑한 이들이 말도 안되는 번역들을 하는 것은 예수가 무슨 말을 하려는 것인지 짐작을 할 수 없기 때문입니다. 체험한 만큼 알게 되고 아는 만큼 보이는 법....

도마복음 전문을 올려봅니다.

기독교복음 주의 진영에서는 다소 견해의 차이가 있기는 합니다만  영지주의의 산물로 보고
이단시 하기도 하는 등 아무튼 오픈하기를 꺼려하는 문서 입니다.
그러나 이같은 배경을 알고 당시 도마의 고백을 접근하다보면 의외로 깊은 묵상이 가능하고 무엇보다 예수님의 사역을 이해 하는데 이전에 발견하지 못했던 부분에 대해서도 새로운 발견이 있을 줄 압니다. 총 114개의 말씀으로 구성되어 있습니다.
기회가 되면 특강을 통해 반드시 이해가 필요한 부분에 대해서 나누겠습니다.    
모르는게 약이 아니지요...

살아계신 예수가 말하고 디듀모스 유다 도마가 기록한 비밀의 말씀이라.

② 이것은 숨겨있던 말이다. 이는 살아있던 예수가 말했다. 그리고 디듀무스 유다 도마가 기록했다.

말씀 1

 

 

 

이 말들의 뜻을 깨닫는 이는 결코 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것입니다.

 

① 그리고 그가 말했다. “이 말씀들의 해석을 발견하는 자는 누구든지 결코 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것이다.”

② 그래, 그는 말했다. “이 말의 해석(뜻)을 찾아내는 이는 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “이 속담을 해석하는 사람은 죽지 않을 것이다.”라고 말하였다.

④ And he said, "Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death."

⑤ And He said, "Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience death."

⑥ Jesus said: He who uncovers The significance of these words Shall not taste death.


말씀 2

 

 

 

예수가 말씀하기를 "진리를 찾는 자는 찾을 때까지 멈추지 마십시오. 진리를 깨달을 때 불안하며 놀랄 것이나 그는 모든 것을 다스리게 될 것입니다.

 

 

 

① 예수가 말했다. “찾는 자는 그가 발견할 때까지 중지하지 말라. 그가 발견하게 되면 그는 걱정하게 될 것이다. 그가 걱정하게 되면, 그는 놀랄 것이다. 그러면 그는 우주를 다스릴 것이다.”

② 예수가 말했다. “찾는 이는 찾아낼 때까지 찾기를 그쳐서는 안 됩니다. 그리고 그가 찾아내면 불안해 할 것입니다. 그리고 그가 불안해지면 놀랄 것입니다. 그래서 그는 만물을 지배할 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “찾는 사람은 발견할 때까지 계속해서 찾도록 하라. 찾던 것을 발견하면 그 사람은 번민할 것이다. 번민하게 되면 놀랄 것이며, 모든 것을 다스릴 것이다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all. [And after they have reigned they will rest.]"

⑤ Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

⑥ Let him who seeks, Not cease from his search until he finds. When he finds he will be bewildered, And when bewildered, He will wonder, and reign over the All.


말씀 3

 

예수가 말했다. "당신을 이끄는 자들이 당신에게 '보라, 천국이 하늘에 있다.'라고 말한다면 하늘의 새가 당신보다 먼저 천국에 갈 것이며, 그들이 '바다에 있다'하고 한다면 물고기가 당신보다 먼저 천국에 이를 것입니다. 아버지 왕국은 당신 안에 있습니다. 그리고 당신 외부(만물)에 있습니다. 당신 자신을 알 때 아버지의 왕국을 알게 될 것이며, 당신이 살아계신 아버지의 아들이라는 것도 깨닫게 될 것입니다. 자신을 알지 못하면 궁핍(무명) 속에 사는 것이고 당신 자신이 무명입니다.

 

① 예수가 말했다. “너희를 유혹하는 자들이 너희에게 ‘보라, 왕국이 하늘에 있다.’고 말한다면, 하늘의 새들이 너희 앞에 있을 것이다. 만일 그들이 너희에게 ‘그것은 바다속에 있다.’고 말한다면 물고기가 거기서 너희 앞에 있을 것이다.
그러나 왕국은 너희 안에 있다. 그리고 너희 밖에도 있다. 만일 너희가 너희 자신을 안다면 알려질 것이고, 너희가 살아계신 아버지의 아들이라는 것을 알 것이다. 그러나 만일 너희가 너희 자신을 알지 못한다면, 너희는 결핍속에 있고, 너희 자신이 결핍이다.”

② 예수가 말했다. “만일 당신들을 지도하는 이가 당신들에게 ‘보라, 천국은 하늘에 있다.’고 한다면, 하늘의 새들이 당신들보다 먼저 (그 나라에) 올 것입니다. 저들이 당신들에게 ‘그것은 바다에 있다’고 한다면 물고기가 여러분들보다 먼저 (그 나라에 올 것입니다. 그런 것이 아니고 그 나라는 당신들 속에 있습니다. 그리고 그것은 당신들 밖에(도) 있습니다.
당신들이 당신들 자신을 알게 될 때, 그때에 당신들은 알게 될 것이오. 그래서 당신들이 살아계신 아버지의 아들들이라는 것을 당신들은 알게 될 것입니다. 그러나 당신들이 당신들 자신을 모르면 당신들은 빈곤(있을 것이 없음) 중에 있고 그리고 여러분은 자신이 빈곤합니다.”

③ 예수가 “너희를 인도하는 사람이 왕국은 하늘에 있다고 말한다면 하늘의 새들이 너희보다 앞서서 들어갈 것이다. 왕국이 바다에 있다고 말한다면 물고기들이 너희보다 먼저 들어갈 것이다. 그런게 아니라 왕국은 너희 안에 있고, 또 너희 바깥에 있다. 너희가 너희 자신을 알게 된다면 너희가 알려지고, 또한 너희는 자기가 바로 살아 있는 아버지의 아들임을 깨달을 것이다. 그러나 자기 자신을 알지 못하면 너희는 가난 속에 살고, 너희가 바로 그 가난인 것이다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the  Father'skingdom is within you and it is outside you.
When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

⑤ Jesus said, "If those who lead you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you.
When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

⑥ If your guides claim that the kingdom is in the sky, The birds of the sky will be there before you. If they see it is in the sea, The fishes of the sea will be there before you. The kingdom is within you and without you.
When you know yourselves, you will be known. Then you shall know that you are Sons of the Living Father. But if you do not know yourselves You are in poverty, and you are poverty.


말씀 4

 

 

 

날이 찬 노인은 7일 된 아이에게 생명의 비처를 기꺼이 물을 것이라. 그가 살게 될 것이다. 먼저된 자 중 많은 이가 나중 될 것이고 유일자 안에서 하나가 될 것이다.

 

 

 

① 예수가 말했다. “날이 찬 노인은 7일된 아이에게 삶의 장소에 관하여 묻기를 주저하지 말라. 그러면 그는 살 것이다. 먼저 된 많은 사람이 나중 될 것이고, 그들은 단일한 자가 될 것이기 때문이다.”

② 예수가 말했다. “저의 날에 있는(=고령의) 노인은 (낳은지) 칠일(째) 된 어린아기에게 삶의 장소에 대해 묻기를 주저하지 않을 것입니다. 그렇게 하면 그는 살 수 있을 것입니다. 왜냐하면 많은 맨 먼저 것이 맨 나중 것이 되어 그래서 그들이 단독자가 될 것이기 때문입니다.”

③ 예수가 “나이든 사람은 태어난 지 7일 되는 아이에게 생명의 장소가 어디 있는지 주저하지 않고 물을 것이며, 그 사람은 살게 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 첫째였던 많은 사람이 마지막 번이 되고, 이 모두가 똑같이 하나가 될 것이기 때문이다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "The person old in days won't hesitate to ask a little child seven days old about the place of life, and that person will live. For many of the first will be last, and will become a single one."

⑤ Jesus said, "The man old in days will not hesitate to ask a small child seven days old about the place of life, and he will live. For many who are first will become last, and they will become one and the same."

⑥ An old man heavy in years, Will not hesitate To ask a baby seven days old, About the Place of Life. And he shall live, for many Who are first shall be last, United within the Single one.


말씀 5

 

 

 

눈으로 볼 수 있는 것들을 알으십시오. 그러면 감추인 것들이 드러날 것입니다. 감추어진 것 중 드러나지 않을 것이 없기 때문입니다. (세상을 똑바로 알면 비의를 알게 된다.)

 

① 예수가 말했다. “너희 앞에 있는 것을 인지하라. 그러면 감추인 것이 너희에게 알려질 것이다. 감추인 것이 드러나지 않을 것이 없기 때문이다.”

② 예수가 말했다. “당신 눈 앞에 있는 것을 알도록 하시오. 그렇게 하면 당신에게 감춰진 것은 당신에게 나타날 것입니다. 왜냐하면 감춰진 것이 드러나지 않는 것은 없기 때문입니다.”

③ 예수가 “눈에 보이는 것을 잘 살펴보아라. 그러면 숨어 있던 것이 너희에게 드러날 것이다. 숨어 있는 것 가운데 드러나지 않을 것이 없기 때문이다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. [And there is nothing buried that will not be raised."]

⑤ Jesus said, "Recognize what is in your sight, and that which is hidden from you will become plain to you. For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest."

⑥ Jesus said: Know what is before you. That which is hidden will be revealed.


말씀 6

 

① 그의 제자들이 그에게 질문하였다. 그들이 말했다. “당신은 우리가 금식하기를 원합니까? 어떻게 우리가 기도하고 자선을 베풀까요? 그리고 우리가 무엇을 먹고 살까요?” 예수가 말했다. “거짓말하지 말고 너희 자신에게 해로운 것을 [다른 사람에게] 행하지 말라. 이 모든 것들은 하늘에 계신 분 앞에서 드러날 것이기 때문이다. 숨긴 것이 드러나지 않을 것이 없고, 감추인 것이 널리 빛나지 않을 것이 없다.”

② 그의 제자들이 그에게 물었다. 저들이 그에게 말했다. “당신은 우리들이 단식하기를 원하십니까? 우리가 어떻게 기도하며 어떤 방법으로 자선물을 나눠주어야 하겠습니까? 우리는 어떠한 식사규정을 지켜야 하겠습니까?” 예수가 말했다. “거짓말을 해서는 안 됩니다. 또 당신들이 미워하는 것은 [다른 사람들에게] 해서는 안 됩니다. 왜냐하면 모든 것이 하늘 앞에 드러나 있기 때문입니다. 왜냐하면 감춰진 것이 밝은 데 드러나지 않는 것이 없는 까닭입니다. 또 가려진 것이 발견되지 않을 것이 없기 때문입니다.”

③ 예수의 제자들이 “우리가 단식하기를 원합니까? 기도는 어떻게 하는 겁니까? 자선을 베풀어야 합니까? 음식에 관해서 어떤 규정을 준수해야 합니까?”라고 물었다. 예수가 “거짓말을 하지 마라. 너희가 미워하는 행동을 하지 마라. 왜냐하면 하늘 나라에서는 모든 것이 보이기 때문이다. 숨어 있는 것 가운데 드러나지 않을 것이 없고, 덮여진 것은 모두 그 알맹이가 드러날 것이기 때문이다.”라고 말했다.

④ His disciples asked him and said to him, "Do you want us to fast? How should we pray? Should we give to charity? What diet should we observe?"
Jesus said, "Don't lie, and don't do what you hate, because all things are disclosed before heaven. After all, there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and there is nothing covered up that will remain undisclosed."

⑤ His disciples questioned Him and said to Him, "Do you want us to fast? How shall we pray? Shall we give alms? What diet shall we observe?" Jesus said, "Do not tell lies, and do not do what you hate, for all things are plain in the sight of Heaven. For nothing hidden will not become manifest, and nothing covered will remain without being uncovered."

⑥ His disciples asked him: Do you want us to fast? How should we pray and distribute alms? What rules should we observe in eating? Jesus replied: Do not lie. Do not do what you dislike, For all is revealed before heaven. Everything hidden will be revealed. Nothing covered will remain undiscovered.


말씀 7

 

 

 

사람이 먹는 사자는 복되다. 사자가 사람이 되기 때문이다. 사자에게 먹히는 사람은 안타깝도다. 그러나 사자는 사람이 될 것이다. 

 

(영과 육, 정신적,영적 수준, 먹힌다는 것은 포섭된다는 것.먹는다는 것은 받아들인다는 것.)

 

① 예수가 말했다. “사람이 먹는 사자는 복되다. 그래서 사자가 사람이 되기 때문이다. 그러나 사자가 먹는 사람에게 화가 있다. 그래서 사람이 사자가 되니까.”

② 예수가 말했다. “사람들에게 먹히는 사자(=이 세상 또는 육신?)는 행복합니다. 그렇게 되면 사자가 인간이 됩니다. 그리고 사자에게 먹히는 사람은 불길합니다. 그렇게 되면 사람이 사자가 될 것입니다.

③ 예수가 “사람에게 먹혀서 사람이 되는 사자는 축복을 받았다. 그러나 사자가 사람을 잡아먹고 그 사자가 사람이 되는 경우, 그 사람은 저주를 받았다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human. And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."

⑤ Jesus said, "Blessed is the lion which becomes man when consumed by man; and cursed is the man whom the lion consumes, and the lion becomes man."

⑥ Blessed is the lion Eaten by a man, so that it becomes a man. Profane is the man eaten by a lion so that he becomes a lion.  


말씀 8

 

가장 큰 것(진리,하나님과 그 왕국)을 얻으면 작은 물고기는 하챦은 것이다. 집중하여 추구하라.
① 다음에 그가 말했다. “사람은 그의 그물을 바다에 던지는 현명한 어부와 같다. 그는 작은 물고기들로 가득찬 바다로부터 그물을 끌어 올려 그 가운데서 이 현명한 어부는 한 마리 크고 좋은 고기를 발견하였다. 그는 작은 고기들을 모두 바다속으로 도로 던졌다. 주저하지 않고 그는 그 큰고기를 선택하였다. 들을 귀 있는 자는 들으라.”

② 그리고 그가 말했다. “인간은 현명한 어부와 같은 것입니다. 그는 자기 그물을 바다에 던졌습니다. (그리고) 그것을 작은 물고기로 채워서 바다로부터 끌어올렸습니다. 그 중에서 그는 한 마리의 큰 물고기를 발견했습니다. 결국 현명한 어부가 말입니다. 그는 작은 물고기를 모두 바다에 던져버렸습니다. 그는 주저하지 않고 큰 물고기를 골랐습니다. 들을 귀가 있는 이는 들으시오.”

③ 예수가 “사람은 바다에 그물을 던지고 작은 생선으로 가득찬 그물을 끌어당긴 현명한 어부와 같다. 작은 생선들 가운데서 현명한 어부는 크고 좋은 생선을 찾아낸다. 작은 생선은 바다에 다시 던지고 어렵지 않게 큰 생선을 골라낸 것이다. 들을 귀가 있는 사람은 들으라.”라고 말했다.

④ And he said, The person is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of little fish. Among them the wise fisherman discovered a fine large fish. He threw all the little fish back into the sea, and easily chose the large fish. Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!

⑤ And He said, "The Kingdom is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of small fish. Among them the wise fisherman found a fine large fish. He threw all the small fish back into the sea and chose the large fish without difficulty. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."

⑥ Man is like a skilful fisherman, casting his net into the sea and drawing it out replete with small fish. If the wise fisherman finds amongst them a large fish He throws the smaller back into the sea, Having selected the largest with ease. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.


말씀 9
① 예수가 말했다. “보라, 씨 뿌리는 자가 나갔다. 그는 (씨들을) 그의 손에 가득 채웠고 뿌렸다. 어떤 것들은 길 위에 떨어졌다. 새들이 와서 그것들을 쪼아 먹었다. 어떤 것들은 바위위에 떨어졌다. 그것들은 땅 속에 뿌리를 내릴 수가 없었고, 하늘을 향하여 이삭들을 내지 못하였다. 어떤 것들은 가시덤불 가운데 떨어졌다. 가시덤불이 씨들을 질식시켰고, 벌레가 그것들을 먹어치웠다. 그러나 어떤 것들은 좋은 땅에 떨어졌다. 그것은 좋은 열매를 내었다. 그것은 60배, 100배, 200배의 열매를 맺었다.”

② 예수가 말했다. “보시오. 씨 뿌리는 이가 나갔습니다. 그는 손에 (씨를) 가득 채워 가지고 뿌렸습니다. 얼마는 길에 떨어졌습니다. 새가 와서 그것들을 먹어버렸습니다. 다른 것은 바위 땅에 떨어졌습니다. 그래서 뿌리를 땅 속에 내리지 못하고 이삭을 공중에 내지 못했습니다. 그리고 다른 것은 가시떨기에 떨어졌습니다. 그것이 씨앗을 덮어서 벌레가 그것들을 먹어버렸습니다. 그리고 다른 것은 좋은 땅에 떨어졌습니다. 그래서 그것은 좋은 열매를 공중을 향해 냈습니다. 그것은 60배, 120배가 됐습니다.”

③ 예수가 “씨 뿌리는 사람이 밭으로 나가 한 줌 씨를 집어서 뿌렸다. 어떤 씨는 길에 떨어졌는데, 새들이 와서 쪼아 먹어버렸다. 어떤 씨는 바위에 떨어졌는데, 흙에 뿌리를 내리지 못하고 이삭을 내지도 못했다. 어떤 씨는 가시덤불에 떨어졌는데, 가시덤불이 씨를 눌러버리고 구더기들이 먹어치웠다. 어떤 씨는 비옥한 땅에 떨어졌는데, 풍성한 결실을 맺어 60배도 내고 1백20배도 냈다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, Look, the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered (them). Some fell on the road, and the birds came and gathered them. Others fell on rock, and they didn't take root in the soil and didn't produce heads of grain. Others fell on thorns, and they choked the seeds and worms ate them. And others fell on good soil, and it produced a good crop: it yielded sixty per measure and one hundred twenty per measure.

⑤ Jesus said, "Now the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered them. Some fell on the road; the birds came and gathered them up. Others fell on the rock, did not take rood in the soil, and did not produce ears. And others fell on thorns; they choked the seed(s) and worms ate them. And others fell on the good soil and produced good fruit: it bore sixty per measure and a hundred and twenty per measure."

⑥ Jesus said: A sower came forth, Filled his hands, and cast. A few seeds fell upon the road, where Birds came down and devoured them. Others fell among thorns, Where they choked, or were eaten by worms. Still others fell upon good ground, Where they could bring forth good fruit.  


말씀 10

 

 

 

한 알의 불씨가 대지를 사른다.
① 예수가 말했다. “나는 세상에 불을 질렀다. 보라 나는 그것이 불타오르기까지 그것을 주시하고 있다.”

② 예수가 말했다. “나는 이 세상에 불을 던졌습니다. 그리고 보시오. 나는 그것이 탈 때까지 지킬 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “나는 이 세상에 불을 던졌다. 나는 온 세상이 타버릴 때까지 불을 보호하고 있다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and look, I'm guarding it until it blazes."

⑤ Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and see, I am guarding it until it blazes."

⑥ Jesus said: I have cast A fire upon the world, and i rekindle it until it burns.



말씀 11
① 예수가 말했다. “(1) 이 하늘은 사라질 것이고 하늘 위에 있는 것도 사라질 것이다. 그리고 죽은 자들은 살아 있지 못하고 살아 있는 자는 죽지 않을 것이다. (2) 오늘 너희는 죽은 것들을 먹고 그것들을 살게 만들 것이다. 그러나 너희가 빛 안에 있을 때, 너희는 무엇을 하겠는가? 너희가 하나였든 날에, 너희는 둘이 되었다. 그러나 너희가 둘이 되었을 때, 너희는 무엇을 하겠는가?”

② 예수가 말했다. 「이 하늘은 지나갈 것입니다. 그리고, 그 위(의 하늘)도 지나갈 것입니다. 그리고, 죽은 이들은 살아나지 않을 것입니다. 그리고, 살아 있는 이들은 죽지 않을 것입니다. 당신들이 죽음을 맛보는 날, 당신들은 그것을 살릴 것입니다. 당신들이 빛에 있을 때, 당신들은 무엇을 하겠습니까. 당신들이 하나가 되었던 날에, 당신들은 둘이 되었습니다. 그러면 당신들이 둘이 돼 있을 때에, 당신들은 무엇을 하겠습니까.」
③ 예수가 “저 하늘은 사라질 것이다. 저 하늘 위의 하늘도 사라질 것이다. 죽은 자는 살아 있지 않다. 산 자는 죽지 않을 것이다. 너희는 죽은 것을 먹던 시절에 그 죽은 것을 산 것으로 만들었다. 너희가 빛 속에 살게 된 지금은 무엇을 할 것인가? 너희가 하나였던 시절에는 너희가 둘이었다. 그러면 너희가 둘이 된 지금은 무엇을 할 것인가?”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. During the days when you ate what is dead, you made it come alive.
When you are in the light, what will you do? on the day when you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?"

⑤ Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. In the days when you consumed what is dead, you made it what is alive.
When you come to dwell in the light, what will you do? on the day when you were one you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?"

⑥ This Heaven shall pass away and that above shall pass away. The dead no longer live. The living no longer die.
When you ate good things It was you who gave them life. But what are you going to do in the Light? When you were one You were made two, but when you are two, what are you going to do?


말씀 12
① 제자들이 예수에게 말했다. “우리는 당신이 우리를 떠나려 하는 것을 압니다. 그러면 누가 우리들의 우두머리가 될까요?” 예수가 그들에게 말했다. “너희가 가는 곳에 의인 야고보에게 가라, 그를 위하여 하늘과 땅이 똑같이 만들어졌다.”

② 제자들이 예수에게 말했다. 「우리들은, 당신이 우리들 곁에서 떠나실 것이라는 것을 알고 있습니다. (그 후에) 누가 우리들 위에 큰 사람이 되겠습니까.」 예수가 저들에게 말했다. 「당신들이 온 곳으로, 당신들은 의인 야곱의 곁으로, 갈 것입니다. 그이 때문에 하늘과 땅이 생긴 것입니다.」

③ 제자들이 예수에게 “당신은 우리에게서 떠나갈 것임을 알고 있습니다. 그러면 누가 우리의 지도자가 되겠습니까?”라고 물었다. 예수가 제자들에게 “너희는 어디에 있든지 정의로운 야고버에게 가야만 한다. 왜냐하면 하늘과 땅이 야고버를 위해서 창조되었기 때문이다.”라고 대답했다.

그리고 그는 저를 데리고 물러나 세가지 말을 저에게 했다. 그런데 도마가 저의 동료들 곁에 왔을 때, 저들은 그에게 물었다. 「예수는 당신에게 무슨 말을 했습니까.」 도마가 저들에게 말했다. 「내가 여러분들에게, 그가 내게 한 말의 하나를 말하면 당신들은 돌을 들어 나에게 던질 것이오. 그리고 불이 돌에서 나와 당신들을 태워 없앨 것입니다.」

③ 예수가 제자들에게 “나를 다른 존재와 비교하라. 내가 누구와 같은지 말해 보아라.” 라고 말했다. 시몬 베드로가 “정의로운 천사와 같습니다.” 라고 말했다. 마태오가 “지혜로운 철학자와 같습니다.” 라고 말했다.토마스가 “선생님, 내 입으로는 당신이 누구와 같은지 정말 말을 할 수가 없습니다.” 라고 말했다.

예수가 토마스를 데리고 외딴 곳으로 가서 세 가지를 얘기해 주었다. 토마스가 동료들에게 돌아오자 “예수가 무슨 말을 했느냐?” 고 물었다.
토마스가 “예수에게 들은 내용 가운데 한 가지를 말해 주면 너희는 돌을 집어서 내게 던질 것이다. 그러면 그 돌에서 불길이 치솟아 너희를 태워버릴 것이다.” 라고 대꾸했다.

④ Jesus said to his disciples, "Compare me to something and tell me what I am like." Simon Peter said to him, "You are like a just messenger." Matthew said to him, "You are like a wise philosopher." Thomas said to him, "Teacher, my mouth is utterly unable to say what you are like."
Jesus said, "I am not your teacher. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring that I have tended."
And he took him, and withdrew, and spoke three sayings to him. When Thomas came back to his friends they asked him, "What did Jesus say to you?" Thomas said to them, "If I tell you one of the sayings he spoke to me, you will pick up rocks and stone me, and fire will come from the rocks and devour you."

⑤ Jesus said to His disciples, "Compare me to someone and tell Me whom I am like." Simon Peter said to Him, "You are like a righteous angel." Matthew said to Him, "You are like a wise philosopher." Thomas said to Him, "Master, my mouth is wholly incapable of saying whom You are like."
Jesus said, "I am not your master. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated by the bubbling spring which I have measured out." And He took him and withdrew and told him three things. When Thomas returned to his companions, they asked him, "What did Jesus say to you?" Thomas said to them, "If I tell you one of the things which he told me, you will pick up stones and throw them at me; a fire will come out of the stones and burn you up."
⑥ Jesus addressed his disciples: Compare me to someone. Tell me whom i resemble. Simon Peter said: Like a just Angel. Matthew answered: Like a wise philosopher. But Thomas replied: Truly Master, my mouth Cannot bring itself to utter comparisons.
AND Jesus said: I am no longer your master. You have drunk from the bubbling fountain which i brought, and you are drunk. He took Thomas aside, and said three words to him. When Thomas returned, his companions asked: What did Jesus tell you? And he replied: If i related even one of the words he told me, you would gather stones, and hurl them at me, whereupon fire would leap from the stones,and burn you.

① 예수가 그들에게 말했다. “너희가 금식할 때, 너희는 너희 자신에게 죄를 지을 것이다. 너희가 기도할 때, 너희는 정죄를 받을 것이다. 너희가 자선을 베풀 때, 너희는 너희의 정신을 해칠 것이다. 너희가 어떤 지방에 들어가서 그 시골을 통과할 때, 너희가 영접을 받을 때, 너희 앞에 놓여 있는 것을 먹고 그곳에 있는 병자들을 치료하라. 너희의 입으로 들어가는 것은 아무것도 너희를 더럽히지 않을 것이고, 너희의 입에서 나오는 것이 너희를 더럽힐 것이기 때문이다.”

② 예수가 그들에게 말했다. 「당신들이 단식을 하면 당신들은 자기에게 죄를 지을 것이요. 그리고 당신들이 기도를 하면 당신들은 심판을 받을 것이요. 그리고 당신들이 자선을 하면 당신들은 자기의 영에게 악한 짓을 할 것입니다. 그리고 당신들이 어떤 나라에 가서 지방을 돌아다닐 때 사람들이 당신들을 받아들이거든 사람들이 당신들 앞에 놓아주는 것을 먹으시오. ③ 예수가 제자들에게 “단식을 하면 너희는 스스로 죄를 짓는 것이다. 기도를 하면 너희는 단죄될 것이다. 자선을 베풀면 너희는 자기 영혼을 해칠 것이다. 어느 나라나 어느 구역으로 들어가서도 그 사람들이 너희를 받아들인다면 차려 내오는 음식을 먹고, 병든 자를 치유해 주어라. 입으로 들어가는 것이 너희를 더럽히는 것이 아니라, 너희 입에서 나오는 것이 바로 너희를 더럽히기 때문이다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said to them, "If you fast, you will bring sin upon yourselves, and if you pray, you will be condemned, and if you give to charity, you will harm your spirits.
When you go into any region and walk about in the countryside, when people take you in, eat what they serve you and heal the sick among them.
After all, what goes into your mouth will not defile you; rather, it's what comes out of your mouth that will defile you."

⑤ Jesus said to them, "If you fast, you will give rise to sin for yourselves; and if you pray, you will be condemned; and if you give alms, you will do harm to your spirits. When you go into any land and walk about in the districts, if they receive you, eat what they will set before you, and heal the sick among them. For what goes into your mouth will not defile you, but that which issues from your mouth - it is that which will defile you."

⑥Jesus said: If you fast, you will create sins for yourselves. If you pray you will be condemned. If you give alms, you will injure yourselves. If you go into a land and wander throughout its area, and are offered hospitality, Eat what is set before you. Heal the sick among them. It is not what goes into your mouth that defiles you But what comes out of your mouth that defiles you.

① 예수가 말했다. “너희가 여인에게서 태어나지 않은 자를 볼 때, 너희의 얼굴을 땅에 대고 꿇어 엎드려 그를 찬양하라, 그는 너희의 아버지이기 때문이다.”

② 예수가 말했다. 「만약 당신들이 여인에게서 태어나지 않은 이를 보거든 꿇어 엎드리시오. (그리고) 그를 경배하시오. 그는 당신들의 아버지이십니다.」

③ 예수가 “여자에게서 태어나지 않은 분을 만나면 너희는 엎드려서 그분을 숭배하라. 그분은 바로 너희 아버지다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "When you see one who was not born of woman, fall on your faces and worship. That one is your Father."

⑤ Jesus said, "When you see one who was not born of woman, prostrate yourselves on your faces and worship him. That one is your Father."

① 예수가 말했다. “진실로 사람들은 내가 세상에 평화를 주러 왔다고 생각한다. 그러나 그들은 내가 세상에 불, 칼, 전쟁을 주러 왔다는 것을 깨닫지 못한다. 진실로 만일 한 집 안에 다섯이 있다면, 그들은 셋이 둘과, 둘이 셋과 - 아버지가 아들과, 아들이 아버지와 싸울 것이다. 그리고 그들은 단독으로 서 있을 것이다.”

④ Jesus said, "Perhaps people think that I have come to casy peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war.
For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone.

⑤  Jesus said, "Men think, perhaps, that it is peace which I have come to cast upon the world. They do not know that it is dissension which I have come to cast upon the earth: fire, sword, and war. For there will be five in a house: three will be against two, and two against three, the father against the son, and the son against the father. And they will stand solitary."

⑥ Men think that I came to bring peace to the world They do not know that i bring division, fire and sword and war. There shall be five in a house With three against two and two against three; The father against the son, and the son against the father, and they shall stand alone.


말씀 17
① 예수가 말했다. “나는 눈으로 결코 보지 못한 것, 귀로 결코 들어보지 못한 것, 손으로 결코 만져 보지 못한 것, 사람의 마음에 결코 만져 보지 못한 것, 사람의 마음에 결코 들어가 보지 못한 것을 너희에게 주겠다.”

② 예수가 말했다. 「나는 여러분에게 눈이 아직 보지 못하고, 귀가 아직 듣지 못하고, 사람의 마음에 생각도 해 본 일이 없는 것을 줄 것이오.」

③ 예수가 “내가 너희에게 주려고 하는 것은 지금까지 아무도 보지 못하고, 듣지 못하고, 만져보지도 못했으며, 상상조차 못한 것이다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "I will give you what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, what no hand has touched, what has not arisen in the human heart."

① 제자들이 예수에게 말했다. “우리의 끝이 무엇과 같을지 말해 주십시오.”
예수가 말했다. “그러면 너희들이 끝에 관하여 질문하기 위하여, 시작의 베일을 벗겼는가? 시작이 있는 곳에 끝이 있을 것이기 때문이다. 시작에 서 있는 자는 행복하다. 그는 끝을 알 것이고 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것이기 때문이다.”

② 제자들이 예수에게 말했다. 「우리들의 끝이 어떻게 되겠는가를 저들에게 말해 주십시오.」
예수가 말했다. 「당신들은 대체 끝을 찾기 위해 처음을 찾은 것인가. 왜냐하면 시작이 있는 곳에 거기엔 끝이 있을 것이기 때문이요. 처음에 서데 될 사람은 행복합니다. 그렇게 하면 그는 끝을 알 것입니다. 그리고 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것입니다.」

③ 제자들이 예수에게 “우리의 끝은 어떤 것입니까?”라고 물었다.
예수가 “끝을 찾고 있는 너희는 그러면 시작은 발견했느냐? 시작이 있는 그곳에 끝이 있기 때문이다. 시작 안에서 자기 자리를 잡을 사람은 축복받았다. 그 사람은 끝을 알고, 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것이다.”라고 말했다.
④ The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us, how will our end come?"
Jesus said, "Have you found the beginning, then, that you are looking for the end? You see, the end will be where the beginning is.
Congratulations to the one who stands at the beginning: that one will know the end and will not taste death."

⑤ The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us how our end will be." Jesus said, "Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end and will not experience death."

⑥ The Disciples said to him: Warn us how our end will be. Jesus replied: Have you already discovered the beginning, now that you are asking about the end? Wherever the beginning is, there shall be the end. Blessed is he who stands at the beginning, for he understands the end without tasting death.


말씀 19
① 예수가 말했다. “(1) 태어나기 전에 존재했던 자는 행복하다. (2) 만일 너희가 내 제자가 되고 내 말을 듣는다면, 이 돌들이 너희를 섬길 것이다. 너희는 여름이나 겨울에 확고부동한 낙원에서 다섯 나무들을 소유할 것이고 그것들의 나뭇잎들이 떨어지지 않는다. 그것들을 아는 자는 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것이다.”

② 예수가 말했다. 「이루기 전에 있던 이는 행복합니다. 여러분이 내 제자가 되어 내 말을 듣는다면 그 돌들이 당신들을 섬길 것입니다. 그것은, 여러분은 낙원에 다섯 나무를 가지고 있으며, 그것들은 여름이나 겨울에 흔들리지 않고, 그 잎이 떨어지지 않기 때문입니다. 그런 것을 아는 이는 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것입니다.」

③ 예수가 “존재하기 이전에 존재한 사람은 축복받았다. 너희가 만일 내 제자가 되어 내 말에 귀를 기울인다면, 이 돌들이 너희에게 시중을 들 것이다. 낙원에 너희를 위한 나무가 다섯 그루 있는데, 그 나무들은 여름과 겨울에도 변함이 없고 낙엽지는 일이 없기 때문이다. 이 나무들과 친해지는 사람은 죽음을 맛보지 않을 것이다.”라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Congratulations to the one who came into being before coming into being.
If you become my disciples and pay attention to my sayings, these stones will serve you. For there are five trees in Paradise for you; they do not change, summer or winter, and their leaves do not fall. Whoever knows them will not taste death."

⑤ Jesus said, "Blessed is he who came into being before he came into being. If you become My disciples and listen to My words, these stones will minister to you. For there are five trees for you in Paradise which remain undisturbed summer and winter and whose leaves do not fall. Whoever becomes acquainted with them will not experience death."

⑥ Blesses is he who was before he became. If you become my disciples and respond to my words, stones will rise to your service. You have five trees in Paradise, immobile during summer and winter, Never shedding their leaves. He who knows them all shall never taste death.

① 제자들이 예수에게 말했다. “하늘 나라가 무엇과 같은지 말해 주십시오.” 그가 그들에게 말했다. “그것은 모든 씨들보다 더 작은 겨자씨 한 알과 같다. 그러나 그것이 경작지에 떨어지면, 그것은 큰 가치를 내고 하늘의 (그) 새들을 위하여 피난처를 마련한다.”

말씀 21
① (1)마리아가 예수에게 말했다. “당신의 제자들은 누구를 닮는가?” 그가 그녀에게 말했다. “그들은 그들에게 속하지 않은 밭으로 나간 아이들과 같습니다. 밭의 주인들이 왔을 때, 그들(아이들)은 말할 것입니다. 우리에게 우리의 밭을 맡기시오!” 라고, 그러자 주인들은 그들에게 그들의 밭을 맡기기 위하여 그들 앞에서 포기하고 그것을 그들에게 인계합니다.
   (2)그러므로 나는 너희에게 말한다. 만일 집주인이 도둑이 오고 있다는 것을 안다면, 그는 깨어 있을 것이고 도둑이 그의 왕가에 침입하여 그의 재산을 가져가지 못하게 할 것이다. 이처럼 너희는 체면 불구하고 조심하여야 한다. 너희 허리띠를 세게 매어 도둑들이 너희를 붙잡지 못하게 하고, 너희가 그것을 위하여 준비한 이익을 붙잡으라. (3) 너희 가운데 이해력이 있는 사람이 있다면, 열매가 익었을 때, 그는 손에 낫을 들고 급히 나가서 그것을 베어 들였을 것이다. 들을 귀 있는 자는 들을 지어다!“

② 마리함(=막달라 마리아?)이 예수에게 말했다,“당신의 제자들은 누구에게 비교할 수 있겠읍니까”.
그가 말했다, “저들은 어린아이들 같은 것입니다. 저들은 어느 들(野)(=물질적 이 세상, 혹은 비본래적 자기로서의 (肉體)에 살고 있으나, 그것은 저들의 것이 아닙니다. 들의 주인들이 와서, 말할 것이오,‘우리들에게 우리의 들(野)을 내놓으라’ 고. 저들(=아이들)은 그들(=들의 주인들)앞에서 벗고 있으니까, 저들은 그것(野)을 그들에게 내주고, 그들은 저들에게 (다시?) 그 들을 줍니다.

③ 마리아가 예수에게 “당신 제자들은 어떤 사람입니까?” 라고 물었다. 예수가 “제자들은 남의 밭에 자리잡은 아이들과 같다. 그 밭의 주인들이 돌아오면, 우리 밭을 되찾고자 말할 것이다. 아이들은 밭을 돌려 준 뒤 그 밭을 다시 받기 위해서 주인들 앞에서 옷을 벗을 것이다. 도둑이 들 것이라고 집주인이 안다면, 도둑이 와서 집에 구멍을 뚫고 들어와 재산을 훔쳐가기 전에 그 주인은 야간 경계를 시작할 것이다. 너희는 이 세상에 대항해서 스스로 경계하라. 우려하던 일이 실제로 일어날 테니, 강도가 덮치지 못하도록 너희는 강력한 힘으로 무장을 해라. 너희 가운데 이해하는 사람을 한 명 두어라. 곡식이 익으면 그 사람이 손에 낫을 쥐고 빨리 와서 추수한다. 들을 귀가 있는 사람은 들어라.” 라고 말했다.

④ Mary said to Jesus, "What are your disciples like?"
He said, They are like little children living in a field that is not theirs. when the owners of the field come, they will say, "Give us back our field." They take off their clothes in front of them in order to give it back to them, and they return their field to them.
For this reason I say, if the owners of a house know that a thief is coming, they will be on guard before the thief arrives and will not let the thief break into their house (their domain) and steal their possessions.
As for you, then, be on guard against the world. Prepare yourselves with great strength, so the robbers can't find a way to get to you, for the trouble you expect will come.
Let there be among you a person who understands.
When the crop ripened, he came quickly carrying a sickle and harvested it. Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!

⑤ Mary said to Jesus, "Whom are Your disciples like?" He said, "They are like children who have settled in a field which is not theirs. When the owners of the field come, they will say, 'Let us have back our field.' They (will) undress in their presence in order to let them have back their field and give it back to them. Therefore I say to you, if the owner of a house knows that the thief is coming, he will begin his vigil before he comes and will not let him into his house of his domain to carry away his goods. You, then, be on your guard against the world. Arm yourselves with great strength lest the robbers find a way to come to you, for the difficulty which you expect will (surely) materialize. Let there be among you a man of understanding. When the grain ripened, he came quickly with his sickle in his hand and reaped it. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."
⑥ Mary Magdalene asked Jesus: What are your disciples like? He said: They are like children settled in a field not theirs. When the owners of the field approach them, and order, Give us back our field! They will be naked before them, and will hand it over. So i say to you: If a householder is aware that a thief is coming, he will await his arrival, block his way into the house, The kingdom, and so protect his property. Be wary of the world. Gird your loins in strength So that no robbers enter, For the benefits you expect will be found: may there wise among you a man of understanding. When the fruit is ripening, he comes with his swift sickle, and reaps. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.


말씀 22
① 예수는 몇몇 어린이들을 품에 안고 보았다. 그는 그의 제자들에게 말했다. “품에 있는 이 어린아이들은 왕국에 들어가는 자들과 같다.” 그들이 그에게 말했다. “그러면 우리가 어린이들처럼 왕국에 들어갈까요?”

② 예수는 젖먹이 어린이들을 보았다. 그는 제자들에게 말했다, “이 젖먹이 어린이들은, 그 나라에 들어 갈 사람들과 같은이요”, 저들은 그에게 말했다, “우리들이 작으면, 그 나라에 들어가는 것입니까”.
예수가 저들에게 말했다, “여러분들이, 둘을 하나로 하고, 안을 겉과 같게, 겉을 안과 같이, 위를 아래와 같이 할 때, 여러분이, 남성과 여성을 같은 것으로 하여, 남성이 남성이 아닌 것처럼, 여성을 여성(이 아닌 것처럼) 한다면, 여러분이, 하나의 눈 대신에 눈을 만들고, 하나의 손 대신에 하나의 손을 만들고, 하나의 발 대신에 하나의 발을 만들고, 하나의 형상 대신에 하나의 형상을 만들 때에, 그때에 여러분은, (그 나라에) 들어간 것입니다.”

③ 젖을 빠는 아기들을 예수가 보았다. 예수가 제자들에게 “젖을 빠는 이 아기들은 왕국에 들어가는 사람들과 같다.” 라고 말했다. 그러자 제자들이 예수에게 “그러면 우리가 어린 아이가 되어 왕국에 들어갈 것입니까?” 라고 물었다.
예수가 제자들에게 “너희가 둘을 하나로 만들 때 안을 바깥처럼, 바깥을 안처럼, 위를 아래처럼 만들 때, 그리고 남자와 여자를 똑같이 하나로 만들어 남자가 남자가 아니고, 여자가 여자가 아니게 할 때, 눈 대신에 눈을, 손 대신에 손을, 발 대신에 발을, 비슷한 것 대신에 비슷한 것을 만들어 낼 때, 비로소 왕국에 들어갈 것이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the  Father'skingdom."
They said to him, "Then shall we enter the  Father'skingdom as babies?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."

⑤ Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to His disciples, "These infants being suckled are like those who enter the Kingdom." They said to Him, "Shall we then, as children, enter the Kingdom?" Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter [the Kingdom]."

⑥ Jesus saw little ones being fed. He addressed his disciples: These babies being nursed are like those entering the kingdom. They asked: Shall we enter the kingdom? We are small. Jesus said: When you make two into one and what is within like what is without, and what is without like what was within. And what is above like what is below, and when you unite male and female in one So that the male is no longer male, and the female is no longer female, When you make eyes in place of an eye and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot and an image in place of an image, Then you shall enter the Kingdom.



말씀 23
① 예수가 말했다. “나는 너희를 1천 명 가운데 하나, 2 천 명 가운데 둘을 선택할 것이다. 그리고 그들은 단일한 자로서 서 있을 것이다.”
② 예수가 말했다. “나는 여러분을, 천사람 중에서 한 사람을, 만사람 중에서 두 사람을, 선택할 것이오. 그래서, 그들은 단독인으로 설 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “천 명 가운데서 한 명, 만 명 가운데서 두 명인 너희를 내가 선택할 것이다. 그러면 선택받은 자는 모두 한 명이 될 것이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "I shall choose you, one from a thousand and two from ten thousand, and they will stand as a single one."

⑤ Jesus said, "I shall choose you, one out of a thousand, and two out of ten thousand, and they shall stand as a single one."

⑥ I shall choose one from a thousand, and two from ten thousand, and they shall stand in unity.



말씀 24
① 그의 제자들이 그에게 말했다. “당신이 계신 곳을 우리에게 보여 주십시오. 우리는 그것을 찾고 있기 때문입니다.” 그가 그들에게 말했다. “귀가 있는 자는 들을지어다! 빛의 사람 속에 빛이 있고 그것이 온 세상을 비친다. 그것이 온 세상을 비치지 않으면, 그것은 암흑이다.”

③ 제자들이 예수에게 “당신이 있는 곳을 보여 주십시오. 우리가 그 장소를 찾아 낼 필요가 있기 때문입니다.” 라고 말했다. 예수가 “귀가 있는 사람은 들어라. 빛의 사람 속에 빛이 있고, 그 사람이 온 세상을 밝게 비춘다. 빛나지 않는 사람(또는 물건)은 암흑이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ His disciples said, "Show us the place where you are, for we must seek it."
He said to them, "Anyone here with two ears had better listen! There is light within a person of light, and it shines on the whole world. If it does not shine, it is dark."
⑤ His disciples said to Him, "Show us the place where You are, since it is necessary for us to seek it."
He said to them, "Whoever has ears, let him hear. There is light within a man of light, and he (or "it") lights up the whole world. If he (or "it") does not shine, he (or "it") is darkness."

⑥ His disciples requested: Teach us about the PLACE Where you live, For we must seek it. He said:
He who has ears let him hear. There is light in a man of light, Who gives light to the world. If he does not give light, there is only Darkness.



말씀 25
① 예수가 말했다. “너희 형제를 너희 자신의 영혼처럼 사랑하라, 그를 너희 눈동자처럼 지켜라.”

② 예수가 말했다, “당신의 형제를 당신의 영혼과 같이 돌봐주시오. 그를 당신의 눈동자처럼 지키시오”.

③ 예수가 “형제를 네 영혼처럼 사랑하고, 네 눈동자처럼 보호하라.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Love your friends like your own soul, protect them like the pupil of your eye."

⑤ Jesus said, "Love your brother like your soul, guard him like the pupil of your eye."

⑥ Love your brother Like your own soul. Cherish him. Like the apple of your eye.



말씀 26
① 예수가 말했다. “너희는 너희의 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보면서 너희 자신의 눈 속에 있는 들보는 보지 못한다. 너희가 너희 자신의 눈으로부터 들보를 제거한다면, 너희는 너희의 형제의 눈으로부터 티를 제거할 수 있을 것이다.”
② 예수가 말했다. “당신은 당신의 형제의 눈에 있는 티를 보고 있습니다. 그러면서도, 당신은 자기 눈에 있는 들보를 보지 않습니다. 당신이 자기 눈에 있는 들보를 빼내버리면, 그렇게 하면 당신은(확실히) 볼 수가 있어서, 형제의 눈에서 티를 빼낼 수가 있을 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “형제의 눈에서 티끌은 보면서 네 눈의 대들보는 보지 않는다. 먼저 네 눈의 대들보를 치워 버린다면, 형제의 눈에서 티끌이 없어진 것을 분명히 볼 것이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "You see the sliver in your friend's eye, but you don't see the timber in your own eye. When you take the timber out of your own eye, then you will see well enough to remove the sliver from your friend's eye."

⑤ Jesus said, "You see the mote in your brothers eye, but you do not see the beam in your own eye. When you cast the beam out of your own eye, then you will see clearly to cast the mote from your brother's eye."

⑥ You see the mote within your brothers eye but you do not see the beam within your own. once you have extracted the beam from your own eye, you can remove the mote from your brothers.



말씀 27
① [예수가 말했다] “만일 너희가 세상과의 관련에서 금식하지 않는다면, 너희는 왕국을 발견하지 못할 것이다. 만일 너희가 참된 안식을 지키지 않는다면, 너희는 아버지를 보지 못할 것이다.”

② (예수가 말했다), “당신들이 이 세상에 대해 단식을 하지 않으면, 당신들은 그 나라를 발견하지 못할 것입니다. 당신들이 안식일을 안식일로 하지 않으면, 당신들은 아버지를 보지 못할 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “이 세상에 관해서 너희가 단식을 하지 않으면 왕국에 들어가지 못할 것이다. 안식일을 안식일답게 지키지 않는다면 너희는 아버지를 보지 못할 것이다. ” 라고 말했다.

④ "If you do not fast from the world, you will not find the Father'skingdom. If you do not observe the sabbath as a sabbath you will not see the Father."
⑤ <Jesus said,> "If you do not fast as regards the world, you will not find the Kingdom. If you do not observe the Sabbath as a Sabbath, you will not see the Father."

⑥ Unless You abstain from the world, you will not find the kingdom. Unless you honor the sabbath, you will not see the Father.



말씀 28
① 예수가 말했다. “나는 세상의 한 가운데 서 있었고 나는 육 안에서 나 자신을 이것들에게 나타냈다. 나는 그것들이 모두 취해 있는 것을 발견하였다. 나는 그들 가운데 아무도 목마르지 않은 것을 발견하였다. 그리고 나의 영혼은 사람들의 자녀들을 위하여 슬퍼하였다. 왜냐하면 그들은 마음에 있어서 눈이 멀고 보지 못하기 때문이다. 그들은 세상 안에 빈손으로 들어왔기 때문에, 그들은 빈 손으로 세상밖에  나가려고 노력한다. 그러나 어떤 사람이 와서 그들을 바로잡기를! 그래서 그들이 푹 자서 술기운을 없앤다면, 그들은 회개할 것이다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “나는 이 세상 한 복판에 섰었습니다. 그리고 저들에게 육신으로 나타냈습니다. 나는 저들이 모두 몹시 취해 있는 것을 발견했습니다. 나는 저들 중에 한 사람도 목말라 하는 이를 못보았습니다. 그리고 나의 영혼은 인자들에 대해 고통을 받았습니다. 그 까닭은, 저들은 저들 마음 속에서 눈이 멀고, 저들이 빈 채로 이 빛에 와서, 다시 빈 채로 이 세상을 떠나가겠다고 하는 것을 보지 못했기 때문입니다. 지금, 저들은 확실히 몹시 취해 있습니다. 저들이 저들의 취한 것을 떨쳐버렸을 때, 그때 가서 저들은 뉘우치고 고칠 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “나는 이 세상에 자리잡았고, 육체를 가지고 사람들에게 나타났다. 와서 보니 모두 취해 있고 한 명도 목마른 자가 없었다. 사람의 아들들이 마음의 눈이 멀어서 보지 못하기 때문에 내 영혼이 근심에 싸여있다. 사람들은 빈손으로 이 세상에 왔다가, 역시 빈손으로 세상을 떠나려고 하기 때문이다. 그러나 잠시만 취해 있는 것이다. 사람들이 포도주를 끊어 버리면 비로소 뉘우칠 것이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "I took my stand in the midst of the world, and in flesh I appeared to them. I found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty.
But meanwhile they are drunk. When they shake off their wine, then they will change their ways."

⑤ Jesus said, "I took my place in the midst of the world, and I appeared to them in the flesh. I found all of them intoxicated; I found none of them thirsty. And My soul became afflicted for the sons of men, because they are blind in their hearts and do not have sight; for empty they came into the world, and empty too they seek to leave the world. But for the moment they are intoxicated. When they shake off their wine, then they will repent."

⑥ I stood In the midst of the world, and i found everyone drunk, and none thirsty. Then my soul was sorry for all the sons of men, because they are blind in their hearts. They cannot realize that they have come empty into the world, and must leave it empty. Now they are drunk, But when they renounce the wine, they will repent.



말씀 29
① 예수가 말했다. “만일 육이 영을 위하여 존재 속에 들어왔다면, 그것은 하나의 기적이다. 그러나 만일 영이 육을 위하여 [존재 속에 들어 왔다면] 그것은 기적 중의 기적이다. 나는 어떻게 이 큰 부요가 이 가난 속에 거주하였는지 감탄한다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “육이 영 때문에 났다면, 그것은 기적입니다. 그러나, 영이 육체 때문(에 났다)면, 그것은 기적 중의 기적입니다. 그러나 나는, 어떻게 해서 이 큰 부가 빈곤 속에 살고 있었는지 불가사의로 생각합니다.”

③ 예수가 “정신 때문에 육체가 존재하게 된다면, 그것은 경이로운 일이다. 그러나 육체 때문에 정신이 존재하게 된다면, 그것은 경이 가운데 경이로운 일이다. 이 빈곤 가운데 어떻게 이토록 어마어마한 부유함이 자리잡았는지 보고 나는 참으로 놀란다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels.
Yet I marvel at how this great wealth has come to dwell in this poverty."

⑤ Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, it is a wonder. But if spirit came into being because of the body, it is a wonder of wonders. Indeed, I am amazed at how this great wealth has made its home in this poverty."

⑥ If the flesh came into being for the sake of the spirit,that is a mystery. But if the spirit came into being for the sake of the body, That is a wondrous miracle. How did such great wealth make its home, i wonder, in such poverty?



말씀 30
① 예수가 말했다. “세 신들이 있는 곳에 신들이 있다. 둘이[심지어] 하나가 있는 곳에, 내가 그와 함께 있다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “세분의 신들이 있는 곳, (거기에) 신들이 있습니다. 두 사람 또는 한 사람이 있는 곳에, 나는 저와 함께 있습니다.”

③ 예수가 “신들이 셋 있는 곳에서는 그 사람들이 신들이다. 둘이나 하나가 있는 곳에서 그 사람과 더불어 내가 있다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Where there are three deities, they are divine. Where there are two or one, I am with that one."

⑤ Jesus said, "Where there are three gods, they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with him."

⑥ Where there are three Gods, They are Gods. Where there are two,or one, I am with Him.


말씀 31
① 예수가 말했다. “예언자는 그 자신의 마을에서 환영받지 못한다. 의사는 그를 알고 있는 자들에게 치료를 행하지 못한다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “어떠한 예언자도, 자기 마을에서는 받아들여지지 않습니다. 어떠한 의사도 자기를 알고 있는 사람들은 고치지 못합니다.”

③ 예수가 “예언자는 자기 고향에서 환영받지 못하고, 의사는 자기를 아는 사람을 고치지 못한다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "No prophet is welcome on his home turf; doctors don't cure those who know them."

⑤ Jesus said, "No prophet is accepted in his own village; no physician heals those who know him."

⑥ No prophet is honoured in his homeland. No physician heals those who know him well.



말씀 32
① 예수가 말했다. “높은 산 위에 세워지고 잘 요새화된 도시는 무너질 수 없고 숨겨질 수도 없다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “높은 산 위에, 견고하게 세운 도시는, 무너질 수도 없고, 숨겨질 수도 없습니다.”

③ 예수가 “높은 산에 짓고 요새화한 도시는 함락되지도, 숨겨지지도 못 한다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "A city built on a high hill and fortified cannot fall, nor can it be hidden."

⑤ Jesus said, "A city being built on a high mountain and fortified cannot fall, nor can it be hidden."

⑥ No city Built upon a mountain, and well fortified, can fall, or conceal itself.



말씀 33
① 예수가 말했다. “너희가 너희의 귀로 듣는 것을 너희의 지붕 꼭대기에서 다른 사람의 귀에 선포하라. 아무도 등불을 켜서 그것을 말 아래 또는 숨겨진 곳에 놓지 않고 그것을 등경 위에 두어 들어가고 나오는 모든 사람이 그 빛을 볼 수 있게 한다.”
② 예수가 말했다, “여러분들이 자기의 귀로(타인의 귀로) 듣는 것을, 당신들의 지붕 꼭대기에서 선포하시오. 왜그러냐 하면, 누구든지 등불을 켜서, 그것을 말(斗) 아래 놓지 않고, 그것을 숨겨진 곳에 놓지 않는 까닭이오. 그렇지 않고, 그는 그것을 등경 위에 놓습니다. 들어가고 나가는 사람들이 모두 그들의 빛을 볼 수 있게 합니다.”

③ 예수가 “너희 귀와 다른 귀로 들을 내용을 지붕 꼭대기에서 설교하라. 왜냐하면 등불을 켜서 됫박 안에 넣어 두거나 으슥한 곳에 숨겨 두지 않고, 오히려 촛대 위에 놓아서 집에 들어오고 나가는 사람이 모두 그 빛을 보도록 하는 법이기 때문이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "What you will hear in your ear, in the other ear proclaim from your rooftops.
After all, no one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, nor does one put it in a hidden place. Rather, one puts it on a lampstand so that all who come and go will see its light."

⑤ Jesus said, "Preach from your housetops that which you will hear in your ear {(and) in the other ear}. For no one lights a lamp and puts it under a bushel, nor does he put it in a hidden place, but rather he sets it on a lampstand so that everyone who enters and leaves will see its light."

⑥ Jesus said: Whatever you hear, With one ear and the other, Preach from the housetops. Nobody lights a lamp in order to place it under a bushel or to hide it is some secret place. Set it upon a lampstand, so that all who enter or depart may see its light.


말씀 34
① 예수가 말했다. “만일 맹인이 맹인을 인도하면, 둘 다 도랑에 빠진다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “만일 맹인이 맹인을 인도하면, 두 사람이 함께 구덩이에 빠질 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “소경이 소경을 인도하면 둘 다 구렁텅이에 빠진다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "If a blind person leads a bind person, both of them will fall into a hole."
⑤ Jesus said, "If a blind man leads a blind man, they will both fall into a pit."

⑥ When the blind lead the blind, they fall together into the ditch.



말씀 35
① 예수가 말했다. “누구든지 강한 사람의 손을 묶지 않으면 그 강한 사람의 집에 들어가서 강제로 그것을 빼앗을 수 없다. 그의 손을 묶고 나서야 그는 그의 집을 강탈할 것이다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “누구나 강한 사람(=이 세상의 지배자, 악마?)의 집(=이 세상?)에 침입해서, 그의 양손을 결박하지 않고는, 그를(또는 그것을)강탈하기는 불가능합니다. 그렇게 하면 그는 저의 집을 무너뜨릴 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “강한 자의 집에 들어가는 사람은 강한 자를 묶기 전에는 그 집을 힘으로 뺏을 수가 없다. 강한 자를 묶은 뒤에 비로소 그 집을 털어 갈 수가 있는 것이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "one can't enter a strong person's house and take it by force without tying his hands. Then one can loot his house."

⑤ Jesus said, "It is not possible for anyone to enter the house of a strong man and take it by force unless he binds his hands; then he will (be able to) ransack his house."

⑥ Nobody can enter the house of a strong man, or seize it by force, unless his hands are tied. only then can the house be ransacked.



말씀 36
① 예수가 말했다. “너희가 무엇을 입을까 에 대하여 아침부터 저녁까지, 저녁부터 아침까지 아무 걱정하지 말라.”

② 예수가 말했다, “아침부터 저녁까지, 또 저녁부터 아침까지, 무엇을 입을까 하고 걱정해서는 안됩니다.”
③ 예수가 “아침부터 저녁까지, 그리고 저녁에서 아침까지 무엇을 입을지 걱정하지 마라.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Do not fret, from morning to evening and from evening to morning, [about your food--what you're going to eat, or about your clothing--] what you are going to wear. [You're much better than the lilies, which neither card nor spin.
As for you, when you have no garment, what will you put on? Who might add to your stature? That very one will give you your garment.]"

⑤ Jesus said, "Do not be concerned from morning until evening and from evening until morning about what you will wear."

⑥ Morn to Eve and Eve to Morn do not think what you put on.



말씀 37
① 그의 제자들이 그에게 말했다. “당신은 언제 우리에게 나타나실 것입니까?” 예수가 말했다. “너희가 부끄러워하지 않고 너희 옷을 벗어, 너희의 옷을 들어 조그만 아이들이 하듯이 그것을 너희의 발 밑에 놓고 그것을 밟는다면, 너희는 살아 계신 분의 아들들이 될 것이고 너희는 아무런 두려움을 가지지 않을 것이다.”

② 그의 제자들이 말했다, “어느 날에 당신은 우리들 겉에 나타나시며, 어느 날에 우리들은 당신을 뵙겠습니까.” 예수가 말했다, “당신들이 당신들의 치부를 없애버리고, 당신들의 옷을 벗어, 어린아이들과 같이, 그것을 당신들의 발 아래 놓고, 그것을 짓밟을 때, 그때에 당신들은, 살아계신 이의 아들을 (볼 것입니다). 그리고 당신들은 무서울 것이 없을 것입니다.”

③ 제자들이 예수에게 “언제 당신이 우리에게 드러나고, 언제 우리가 당신을 보게 될 것입니까?” 라고 물었다. 예수가 “너희가 부끄러움을 느끼지 않고 옷을 벗은 뒤, 그 옷을 집어서 어린 아이들처럼 자기 발 아래에 놓고 그 옷을 밟으면, 그때 살아 있는 그 분의 아들을 보게 될 것이며, 두려워하지도 않을 것이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ His disciples said, "When will you appear to us, and when will we see you?"
Jesus said, "When you strip without being ashamed, and you take your clothes and put them under your feet like little children and trample then, then [you] will see the son of the living one and you will not be afraid."

⑤ His disciples said, "When will You become revealed to us and when shall we see You?" Jesus said, "When you disrobe without being ashamed and take up your garments and place them under your feet like little children and tread on them, then [will you see] the Son of the Living one, and you will not be afraid"

⑥ His disciples asked: When will you appear to us and when shall we see you? Jesus answered: When you shed your shame, and take your cloths, Place them on the ground, and trample them underfoot like children, Then you shall see The Son of the Living one, and will not be afraid.



말씀 38
① 예수가 말했다. “너희는 내가 너희에게 말하는 이 말들을 듣기를 자주 원했다. 그러나 너희는 이 말들을 그로부터 들을 수 있는 다른 사람을 갖지 못했다. 너희가 나를 찾을 것이지만 나를 찾지 못할 날이 올 것이다.”

② 예수가 말했다, “몇 차례나 여러분들은, 내가 여러분에게 한, 이 말을 듣기를 원했습니다. 그리고 여러분들은, 그런 것을 들을 수 있는 다른 사람을 가지고 있지 않습니다. 여러분이 나를 찾아도, 나를 볼 수 없는 날이 올 것입니다.”

③ 예수가 “내가 지금 너희에게 말하고 있는 것을 너희가 간절히 듣고싶어 했지만, 아무에게서도 들을 기회를 얻지 못했다. 너희가 나를 찾겠지만 발견하지 못할 날이 올 것이다.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "Often you have desired to hear these sayings that I am speaking to you, and you have no one else from whom to hear them. There will be days when you will seek me and you will not find me."

⑤ Jesus said, "Many times have you desired to hear these words which I am saying to you, and you have no one else to hear them from. There will be days when you look for Me and will not find Me."
⑥ You have often wished to hear the words i now express. When you have no other to listen to, days will come when you shall search, but never find me.


말씀 39
① 예수가 말했다. “바리새인과 율법 학자들이 지식의 열쇠들을 가져갔고 그것들을 숨겨 놓았다. 그들은 그들 자신이 들어가지 않았고 들어가기를 원하는 자들이 들어가려 하는 것을 허락하지도 않았다. 그러나 너희에 관하여 뱀처럼 신중하고 비둘기처럼 순진하라.”

② 예수가 말했다, “바리새파인과 율법학자들은 지식의 열쇠를 받았으나, 그것을 숨겼습니다. 저들도 그 안에 들어가지 않을 뿐만 아니라, 그 안에 들어가려는 사람들을 그렇게 하지 못하게 했습니다. 그러나 여러분들은 배암과 같이 현명하고, 비둘기와 같이 순직(純直)하시오.”

③ 예수가 “바리사이파와 율법 학자들이 지식의 열쇠를 가져가서 숨겨 놓았다. 자기네도 들어가지 않고, 들어가고 싶어하는 다른 사람도 못 들어가게 한다. 그러나 너희는 뱀처럼 지혜롭고 비둘기처럼 무죄한 자가 되라.” 라고 말했다.

④ Jesus said, "The Pharisees and the scholars have taken the keys of knowledge and have hidden them. They have not entered nor have they allowed those who want to enter to do so.
As for you, be as sly as snakes and as simple as doves."

⑤ Jesus said, "The Pharisees and the scribes have taken the keys of Knowledge and hidden them. They themselves have not entered, nor have they allowed to enter those who wish to.
You, however, be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves."
